Significance

  • Completed the Google Docs Office Suite.
  • Allowed Google to credibly position Google Docs as an alternative to Microsoft Office.
  • Complemented and improved Google’s existing PowerPoint equivalent, Presently.

Catapult’s role

  • Worked behind the scenes and provided advice to Tonic until the term sheet was signed.
  • Negotiated several complex and unusual terms related to taxes, IP, and relocation.
  • Applied pressure at specific and critical times, keeping Google honest and getting the deal closed on a very fast timeline.

“Catapult Advisors acted as our exclusive financial advisor during our recent acquisition by Google. We are excited to be part of the Google team and are grateful to Catapult for the quality of their advice, their tireless dedication, and the outstanding results we were able to achieve together.”

Tony Glenning, CEO, Tonic Systems
