EFI acquires OPS to expand web-to-print and cross-media offering

EFI’s Digital StoreFront will benefit from technologies acquired in the OPS deal Online Print Solutions (OPS), a specialist in web-to-print and cross-media marketing applications, has been acquired by EFI for an undisclosed amount.

The move sees EFI expand beyond its recent acquisitions in management information software (MIS) into online retail and storefront solutions. The OPS range is to sit within the manufacturer’s Productivity Software catalogue and will be integrated with Digital StoreFront, Fiery and EFI’s MIS software.

“EFI has seen web-to-print expand and become a standard way of doing business around the world,” comments Marc Olin, senior vice-president and general manager of the Productivity Software business unit of EFI. “We see great potential in continuing to expand our offerings in web-to-print.”
